Abstract

The paper aims to study the influence of the mass of the shafts on the natural pulsations of the free and forced transverse vibrations of an elastic system formed by a fixed shaft and a homogeneous wheel for two cases: free vibrations and forced vibrations due to harmonic disturbing forces. With the help of the professional program MATHCAD, the influence of the mass of the shafts on the natural pulsations was simulated for six cases in which the mass of the shaft is taken into account as: 5, 10, 25, 50, 75 and 100% of its real mass, for forced vibrations with frequencies very close to the first two natural pulsations p1 and p2.
