Abstract
This is the paper writing about a digital twin technology and its usage in power engineering. DIGITAL TWIN is a digital representation of a physical object, process or service that behaves and looks like its real-life counterpart. The application of digital twin technology is wide and it is closely related to artificial intelligence and the latest trends in technology development (Industry 4.0). This paper describes the use of digital twin technology in one segment of power engineering, the protection of elements of the power system.
