Cost-Benefit Analysis Of Frequency Regulated Electrical Drives Application In Thermal Power Plants -Experiences From Tpp Kakanj
Abstract
This paper describes the possible approaches to cost-benefit analysis of application of regulated drives using frequency converters on the characteristic drives in thermal power plants, as well as the positive and negative experiences so far. Some cost-benefit analyses (for fans and pumps) are made using the software applications and operating data from the control systems archive of production units. Where such data were not available (e.g. compressor), the data from operating books were used. The analysis was carried out for the thermal power plant TPP Kakanj.
