Energy Management in Industrial Microgrid in Market Condition

Abstract

The paper deals with the problems of Energy Management in industrial plants through the prism of new opportunities created by introducing the electricity market and the new concept of Smart Grid. The Introduction gives an emphasis to the importance of electrical power generation in Industrial environment. In continuation of the article, an overview of the properties of industrial microgrid as a unique entity of the energy in a power system is given. The third chapter shares an overview of the electricity market as an introduction to the analysis of the energy management possibilities in industry. The analysis of the concept of energy management with emphasis on application in industrial environments is presented in the fourth chapter. Special attention is given to Electricity Demand Management and the selection of appropriate strategies for Energy Management in the industrial plants.
