Abstract
Myasthenia Gravis (MG) is a chronic autoimmune disorder characterised by fluctuating weakness in skeletal muscles. The disease course is often unpredictable, with varying patterns of onset, progression, and remission. Understanding the clinical phases, prognostic indicators, and potential complications of MG is essential for nurses involved in its diagnosis, monitoring, and care coordination. This article examines the typical clinical course of MG, its treatment, and outlines key considerations for Australian nurses in supporting patients across all stages of the disease.
