- The Concept of the Master Plan for the area of the Olimpijska street in Katowice (today the “Culture Zone”), preparded by Arch-Urbs Design-Research Office in Katowice: The City Council of Katowice resigned of this plan in order to develop the site using solely the simplified form of Conditions of Building, which gives more freedom to investors and permits to build without official form of legal urban regulations. The results are, that today the public open space on the analyzed “culture island” in Katowice is not interconnected and makes only the marginal pecentage of the revitalized post-industrial area. It does not exist in form of a network and have no relations with the neighbourhood.
