aura: revolting embodiments, emulsification, and the synthetic wê

Using autotheoretical methods, this piece explores the everyday lived somato-affective experience of marginality through the lenses of disability, queerness, embodiment, and solidarity within the structures of global capitalism. I play with structure, non-linear temporalities, and form throughout as the narrative of the piece moves through vignettes interwoven with aesthetics, theory, poetics, memoir, and creative nonfiction. This piece itself functions as not only an articulation of, but indeed an embodiment of emulsification of the relational self, which I theorize here as a heuristic of intimate, embodied, slippery, sticky, and sumptuous entanglements/dissolutions which begins to counter capitalist imperatives of categorization and linear progress/efficiency and, in so doing, begins to conjure/synthesize what I term the synthetic wê: a meaningful sense of anticapitalist solidarity which does not (re)commit the violence of flattening the important variabilities of lived experiences at infinite intersections of marginalized embodiments.
