
The Founders of Industrial Arts in the US

Although technology education in the United States may be regarded as having been founded in the early twentieth century as industrial arts, the histori- cal roots of the field have been traced back much further. At the same time, it seems clear that the founding of industrial arts in the US was less an exten- sion of any one of those roots than it was a philosophical convergence of them.
