Abstract

By exploring the perspectives on nordicity, borealism and the imaginary of the North, this special issue aims to present new empirical and methodological studies linked to these concepts and applied specifically to French-speaking literatures. What literary discourses can be distinguished in these countries? What representations of the North are conveyed by cultural and literary institutions?

Résumé

En explorant les perspectives liées à la nordicité, au boréalisme et à l’imaginaire du Nord, ce numéro spécial a pour ambition de présenter de nouvelles études empiriques et méthodologiques liées à ces concepts et appliquées spécifiquement aux littératures d’expression française. Quels discours littéraires peuvent être distingués dans ces pays ? Quelles représentations du Nord sont véhiculées par les instances culturelles et littéraires ?
