Abstract
It is a delight to be back this December 2023, with the 3rd edition of our journal. Our last edition was produced during the COVID lockdown, and it has taken us this long to bounce back. Post-COVID living has witnessed many changes to work and leisure. No sector has been spared and changes are very evident in our sector—the academia, media, and communication. Indeed, that the lived realities in Africa, as around the world, have been altered offer exciting opportunities for research and scholarship. More than ever, there is now the imperative to attend to happenings in local cultural contexts. This becomes more pertinent with the increased global connectedness and thanks to the lockdown, a greater dependence on newer modes of
