Abstract
Jason A. Bartles propone en ArteletrA una mirada renovada para pensar la literatura latinoamericana de los años sesenta, tomando como sustento tres autores de la época que casi pasaron inadvertidos: Calvert Casey (Cuba, 1924–1969), Juan Filloy (Argentina, 1894–2000) y Armonía Somers (Uruguay, 1914–1994). Bartles elige a estos autores porque coinciden en ser de bajo perfil, en haber creado personajes que también lo son y en pertenecer a realidades que se podrían considerar periféricas.
Jason A. Bartles proposes in ArteletrA a renewed look at Latin American literature of the sixties, taking as material three authors of the time who almost went unnoticed: Calvert Casey (Cuba, 1924–1969), Juan Filloy (Argentina, 1894–2000), and Armonía Somers (Uruguay, 1914–1994). Bartles chooses these authors because they coincide in being low-profile, having created characters who are also low-profile, and belonging to realities that could be considered peripheral.
