The journal has a long tradition: it was established in 1979 by the Gestalt Theory Association, serving as an outlet for scientific research centered on the Gestalt approach; in recent years, it has developed into a broad multidisciplinary platform base on a holistic approach to perceptual, cognitive and aesthetic reality, opening up to various disciplinary areas.
