Aims and scope
FARU Journal is the official Journal of the Faculty of Architecture Research Unit (FARU), University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. It is a double-blind peer-reviewed scholarly Journal. The aim of the FARU is to open up a platform to discourse theoretical and empirical studies through discussions, debate under its main theme ‘Dimensions of Space’. It looks at research, practices, scholarly work and industry contribution on ‘space’ and different dimensions of it within the discipline of Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Town and Country Planning, Building Economics, Facilities Management and Design.
It is a bi-annual Journal, associated with FARU Annual Conference, where the high ranked papers submitted to the conference gets published as a separate publication.
FARU Journal (Issue 01) - Opens from January - March via an open call. It is published in June each year.
FARU Journal (Issue 02) - Opens from April - June via the FARU Annual Conference. It is published in December. Only the highly ranked accepted papers of the annual conference get selected for this publication after necessary improvements to meet journal quality.
