Aims and scope

The Romanian Journal of Applied Psychology (RJAP) is an Open Access, peer-reviewed journal committed to the broad dissemination of research findings across all domains of psychology. RJAP welcomes a diverse range of contributions, including empirical studies, comprehensive reviews, meta-analyses, and papers that advance methodological approaches. The journal emphasizes high-quality scholarly work from both researchers and practitioners, with a particular interest in studies that apply psychological principles to real-world issues. RJAP seeks articles that address phenomena from an applied perspective, aiming at both the prevention and intervention of psychological issues. Submissions are encouraged from all fields of applied psychology, such as work and organizational psychology, personality studies, occupational health, cross-cultural research, educational psychology, developmental studies, and environmental psychology, among others.

Romanian Journal of Applied Psychology is published in a continuous volume open model: Issue 1 is opened in January and closed at the end of December.

The Romanian Journal of Applied Psychology (RJAP) was first published in 1999, as Revista de Psihologie Aplicata. For 11 years, Revista de Psihologie Aplicata aimed at enriching the applied psychological knowledge in Romania. In 2010, with the change of its official name to the Romanian Journal of Applied Psychology, the journal shifted its focus from publishing Romanian-specific papers to publishing papers that are more relevant for the international community. The RJAP archive contains full-text versions of all papers published since 2009 and the Titles and Abstracts of papers published before 2009.
