Double-blind peer reviews have the maximum level of Reviewer’s and Author’s anonymity: both the Author and the Reviewer remain entirely anonymous to each other throughout the review process.

The expected timeframe for preparing reviews 2–4 weeks. 2 independent reviewers are assigned to each manuscript. In cases of contradictory reviewer recommendations, the manuscript is sent to an additional reviewer, and the 3-d reviewer is appointed. The final case-by-case decision for manuscript rejection or acceptation is made by Editorial board.

The complete anonymity of Author and Reviewer is guaranteed at the content level: all direct references to the Author are removed from the manuscript (the manuscript does not contain names, surnames, institutions, ORCID IDs, numbers of funding sources, grants, acknowledgments). Anonymity guaranteed at the formal level: indirect links are also removed – file properties, metadata are deleted.

The same is process are applied for the review forms received from Reviewers.
