Me.dok

Me.dok provides an English-language forum for high-quality peer-reviewed research into media and communication studies, media history, media theory, digital media, media sociology, film and photography. The journal is published by Medea Association, a Cluj / Kolozsvár-based scholarly community affiliated to the Faculty of Political-, Administrative and Communication Sciences of the Babeș-Bolyai University (Romania), and it is supported by a prestigious body of international scholars and peer-reviewers.

Me.dok acts as an open-access framework for innovative research and aims at attracting a variety of critical approaches and wide-ranging perspectives on contemporary and historical media phenomena focusing mostly on East-Central Europe. Me.dok focuses mainly on media and communication studies, but periodically also publishes thematic issues that experiment with an interdisciplinary dialogue and widen the traditional perspective of media studies.

Its publishing policy includes double-blind peer-review to filter the scientifically acceptable papers and improve the quality of the manuscripts. Me.dok is published twice per year, every June and December. The journal adheres to the standards of the Committee on Publication Ethics: publicationethics.org/
