Aims and scope
Journal of Ultrasonography is the official organ of the Polish Ultrasound Society. Mission of the journal is promotion of ultrasonography among medical professionals representing various specialties and presentation of current state-of-the-art and results of original studies using ultrasonographic imaging.
The journal publishes: original papers, review papers, case reports, ultrasonographic quiz, video presentations as well as experts’ opinions (concerning new criteria, new probes, new examination techniques), diagnostic pitfalls in ultrasound medicine (discussing diagnostic failures), and guest editorials (concerning particular paper). All manuscripts are peer-reviewed by 2 or 3 independent reviewers.

ABOUT SOCIETY
Polish Ultrasound Society (Polskie Towarzystwo Ultrasonograficzne - PTU) was founded in 1990 and currently currently associates more than 1200 members that represent more than 20 medical specializations.
The mission of PTU is to develop the use of diagnostic ultrasound and new scientific achievements in practice. The Society promotes advancement of knowledge and skills in the field of ultrasound and ensures proper application of methods of ultrasound in diagnosis and therapy.
