Contemporary Agriculture is the official journal of the University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Agriculture, Serbia. Established in 1953, the journal has been a key publication in the field of agricultural science. Initially published under the name Poljoprivreda Vojvodine (1953–1959), it was later known as Savremena poljoprivreda (1959–2015) before adopting its current title, Contemporary Agriculture, in 2016. Contemporary Agriculture is owned, published and financially supported by the University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Agriculture.
The journal Contemporary Agriculture is an open access scholarly journal dedicated to the dissemination and exchange of knowledge about the progress of research in all areas of theoretical and applied agricultural science, covering a wide range of agricultural topics:
The journal publishes research articles, reviews, short communications and case reports. It is open to all researchers globally, regardless of gender, career stage or ethnic and religious affiliation. The journal publishes one volume with four issues per year. All papers are published in English and are subject to a double-blind peer review process (with at least two independent reviewers) to maintain high academic standards. Editorial operations related to content and peer review are independent and free from the influence of the entities that support the journal.

Up to Volume 73, the CC BY NC ND 3.0 license was used. Starting from Volume 74 articles will be distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. Authors retain copyright of the published papers and grant to the publisher the non-exclusive right to publish the article, to be cited as its original publisher in case of reuse, and to distribute it in all forms and media.
