Aims and scope
Advances in Rehabilitation (Adv Rehab; eISSN 1734-4948) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal published quarterly by the Józef Piłsudski University of Physical Education in Warsaw, Poland. The journal has been publishing articles since 1987. It publishes original research and review articles in the fields of medical rehabilitation, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and adapted physical activity.
The journal welcomes contributions addressing clinical, functional, educational, psychosocial, and scientific aspects of rehabilitation across the lifespan, including neurological, orthopaedic and musculoskeletal, cardiological and other related areas of rehabilitation, as well as adapted physical activity and the participation of people with disabilities.
Target audience. The journal serves researchers, clinicians (including physicians, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists), adapted physical activity specialists, educators, students, and other professionals involved in rehabilitation, as well as those responsible for rehabilitation services and health policy.
International character. Advances in Rehabilitation is an international journal. It welcomes submissions from authors worldwide, publishes exclusively in English, and its Editorial Board and Advisory Board include members affiliated in different countries. The journal aims to promote the exchange of knowledge and evidence-based practice in rehabilitation at the international level.
Publication model. All articles are published in open access under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International licence (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0). There are no article processing charges, submission fees, or page charges. All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review.
