Jens Vesterlund Mathiesen is a special advisor and researcher at the Center for Stabilisation, at the Royal Danish Defence College’s Institute for Strategy and War Studies. As programme manager for the Afghanistan-Pakistan programme, he has conducted research projects on security in the region and coordinated RDDCS’s stabilisation projects in Pakistan since 2022.

David Vestenskov is the Director for the Centre for Stabilisation at the Royal Danish Defence College’s Institute for Strategy and War Studies. His work includes research on Afghanistan, Iraq and the Middle East Region in general, as well as implementation of stabilisation projects in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq. From 2022-2023 he was posted in Iraq as advisor for NATO’s Defence Education Enhancement Programme.
