The International Symposium “Technical Textiles – Present and Future” (TTPF 2025) is a scientific event organised by the Faculty of Industrial Design and Business Management of the “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University in Iași, Romania. The symposium will take place online on 20 November 2025. Now in its ninth edition, the TTPF Symposium has been a tradition in the field of textiles and a scientific forum for technical textiles since 2009. Supporting interdisciplinary research areas, the symposium provides a platform for participants to share their latest findings and discuss the challenges of sustainability in the TCLF industry. Each edition of the symposium brings together leading researchers, textile experts and teachers from academia and vocational training to share their achievements and best practices in technical textiles with relevant national and international stakeholders, including students and graduates who will become the next generation of professionals in the field. TTPF2025 will focus on the latest scientific advances in technical textiles and innovative solutions to environmental and sustainability issues in the TCLF industry. Topics include: Technical Textiles for Applications in Agrotech, Buildtech and Geotech; Technical Textiles for Applications in Clothtech and Hometech; Technical Textiles for Applications in Indutech and Mobiltech; Functional and Smart Textiles for Applications in Meditech, Protech and Sportech; Technical Textiles for Applications in Oekotech and Packtech; Technical Textiles and Sustainability; Textile Education and Training for Technical Textiles; and last but not least Management and Entrepreneurship. The TTPF2025 Proceedings will be the third in the Sciendo series. Accepted papers will be published as an Open Access volume in the Sciendo series and indexed in various databases (https://sciendo.com/series/TTPF-B ). |
