Keith Newlin is Professor Emeritus at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. He is the author of Hamlin Garland, A Life and editor of A Theodore Dreiser Encyclopedia, The Oxford Handbook of American Literary Naturalism, and the forthcoming The Dreiser Markham Letters: The Correspondence of Theodore Dreiser and Kirah Markham, among other books.

Frederic E. Rusch is Professor Emeritus at Indiana State University. He is the cofounder of the International Theodore Dreiser Society and coeditor of Theodore Dreiser: A Primary and Secondary Bibliography and of Theodore Dreiser: Interviews, in the Dreiser Edition.

Jude Davies is General Editor of the Theodore Dreiser Edition, for which he edited Dreiser’s Political Writings (University of Illinois Press, 2011). In addition to numerous essays on Dreiser, he has written extensively on American and British culture and identity representations.
