Ongehoord en afgehaakt. Krakend politiek fundament en het belang van lokaal ‘ongepast’ sociaal (herstel) werk
By: Toby Witte
Abstract
This essay discusses the social context and the causes and consequences of the smouldering dismay and declining faith among non-voters and protest-voters in the Netherlands, from a historical perspective. Addressed is the question if the aforementioned relates to the effects of the decentralization of the social domain in 2015 and the social policy of Dutch municipalities. Finally, the essay considers the role of social workers in restoring faith in politics and public administration.
