Mean Disease Duration by Clinical Outcome. The mean disease duration for the subgroups is shown. Patients who were seen at follow-up and found to exhibit improvement had mean disease duration of 2.3 years, whereas those who had no improvement or were lost to follow-up had mean disease duration of 6.2 years and 7.9 years, respectively.
