Yeast Vps13p Localization. Yeast Vps13 localization is dependent on the carbon source. In cells grown in glucose (left ), Vps13–GFP is present in cytoplasmic punctae that predominantly co-localize with endosomal markers. When cells are grown in the non-fermentable carbon source acetate (right ), Vps13–GFP concentrates at the membrane contact site between the nuclear and vacuolar membranes. Dashed lines indicate the outlines of the budding cells. Scale bar  =  5 µm. Further details regarding Vps13 localizations have been previously published.5,18
