Abstract
[The Meaning of the Notions of Stimulus and Response, Considered in their “Proximal” and “Distal” Dimensions]
The writer discusses the meaning in which the notions of stimulus and response, considered in their “proximal” and “distal” dimensions, have been used by J. A. Gray, E. Brunswik and F. Heider. Suggestions are made in order to avoid some ambiguity in that usage.
