Abstract
This Special Issue of Psychologica Belgica is a Festschrift in honour of
André Vandierendonck’s scientific and institutional contributions to cognitive
psychology. It is a collection of scientific papers that represent the lectures
included in the International Symposium André Vandierendonck: Working
Memory and Executive Control, which took place on September 20th 2010,
at Ghent University. We are grateful to Etienne Quertemont, Editor-in-Chief
of Psychologica Belgica, for supporting this special issue, to the contributing
authors for giving us the opportunity to include their valuable work in
this Festschrift, and to the reviewers who devoted their time to optimise the
outcome.
