Manually Verified Polish Civil-Register Transcriptions and Weak Token Labels
Abstract
Polish civil registers are formulaic, but computational processing can be hard to inspect. This paper documents 100 manually checked TXT page transcriptions from Kraśnik with parallel PAGE-XML workflow exports, provenance, checksums, weak lexical categories, and a 480-row audit. Page-level files preserve layout and provenance; documentation separates descriptive labels from evaluation evidence. Scripts support classical and simulated quantum-kernel demonstrations. The resource aids teaching, error tracing, and evaluation design; purposive sampling, lexical repetition, absent scans, and non-contextual labels preclude representative, full-NER, or quantum-advantage claims.
