Abstract

Why is the workshop being built? The change in the profile of health consumers, along with the increase in demand for health care, presents health institutions with daily challenges. In this sense, the creation of new organizational models that move towards integrated care is essential. In this process, teams have a fundamental role to perform, as they must be part of the driving force behind innovation in institutions. However, to innovate you need to have the necessary tools, you need to know what points to consider when designing a project, and that's what we intend to transmit in this workshop.

- Who is it for? This workshop is aimed at all professionals who are interested in the topic of integrating care and want to acquire the tools to design and implement an IC project.

- What are you going to do? We intend to demonstrate the steps needed to design a care integration project, using a participative methodology for innovation. We intend to pass on some design thinking tools to encourage innovation and the creation of projects.

Workshop Design (90 mins.)

5 min. - Introduction and context of the work to be done

15 min. - Presentation of the Elements of a Project Charter and the Design Thinking Methodology

30 min. - Group work - Application of design thinking strategies in the design of a IC project.

10 min. - Pitch presentation by the group + Feedback

5 min. - Identification of the Main Difficulties within the Project

10 min. - Discussion of innovative solutions as a response to the difficulties

10 min. - Conclusion and summary of final ideas

Interaction is based on co-creation. There will be a first expository moment to background the elements to be worked on and all the rest of the work will be done in groups, with each one identifying a problem they want to solve and an answer to it. We intend to support the groups in a 1:1 format when developing the project, also promoting inter-group discussion on transversal issues/difficulties.

The final messages should be built up over the course of the workshop, i.e. whenever a relevant conclusion is reached, the participants should write it down on a board that is always available. At the end, these ideas will be shared with all the participants in digital format.
