Abstract
Introduction
This session is an opportunity to hear about the European Frailty Prevention Approach and to connect with IFICs new special interest group on integrated care and support to promote healthy ageing and prevent and manage frailty.
Background
Co-funded by the European Union’s Health Programme, ADVANTAGE JA, was the first policy joint action for the prevention and management of frailty. Involving 34 organisations from 22 European Member States, it developed a common understanding of frailty in health and social care services across Europe. The Frailty Prevention Approach for managing older people who have, or are at risk of, developing frailty was launched at the Advantage final conference, November 2019. The Frailty SIG is an important legacy from the project and a resource to support international collaboration in the UN / WHO Decade of Action on Healthy Ageing 2020 - 2030.
