Abstract
Christianity is skeptical of men´s political ideas abour social good. This is the step that Saint Augustine took in the issue of political freedom starting in the yerar 410. From that date on, Christian freedom will not expect any paradise that comes from men. This article explains this process using the city as ideography. We will arrive at the city of God according to Saint Agustine through the political context that the city represents in Greece, in Rome and to the Hebrew people.
