Abstract

Tamil Community of Sri Lankas Northern Province, following the Conclusion of the war, has been restructuring its social frameworks, values, and ideals, gradually intergrating into a state of normalcy. However, the children who one lived under the constant threat of war are now facing a situtions shaped by trauma and conditions that may result from the lingering impacts of those life- thereatening experiences. However, with regard to the children of the Northern Province, the influence of films, lack of proper parental care, and changes in social values due to social intergration have led to notable shifts in Societal norms, Additionally, factors such as increased internet usage, education systems focused primarily on economic outcomes, and exposure to dugs have contributed to a recent rise in the number of children falling victim to substance abuse.
