Abstract
Drug-induced Acanthosis Nigricans is described in a 67-year-old male who was taking nicotinic acid as a lipid-lowering drug. The condition disappeared completely on withdrawal of nicotinic acid. The need to be aware of this complication is stressed as nicotinic acid is being increasingly used in the treatment of hyperlipidaemias.
