Contribution to Community Development in Overcoming Poverty
Abstract
As defined by the World Bank, poverty refers to a situation where an individual's or household's income level falls below the minimum threshold required to meet basic needs. In such cases, the individual is considered impoverished. It is a major issue faced by developing countries around the world. Poverty can be understood as a vital development approach aimed at improving the living conditions, quantity, and quality of life of communities living in small groups. Community development can play a significant role in alleviating poverty. Therefore, the primary objective of this academic paper is to conduct a sociological analysis of the contribution of community development in overcoming poverty.
