Abstract
Geographical defending factors were very usefull to protect freedom in most nations in world history, such as Vietnam war, Cubain revelution war, Afganistan war and Kandiyan wars. Mainly Kandyan Kingdom is last monarch in Sri Lankan history. it was founded by the king Wimaladharmasuriya. Last king was king Sri Wichramarajasinha. Finally English conqured kandiyan kingodom in1814 AD.
During this era Kandyan people fight to protect freedom against three European Warlilke nations, such as Portuguese, Dutch, and English. But kandiyan people used guerrilla war tactics against those nations. Speacily tropical climate, tropical jungles, rivers and mountain as a very useful for the defending Kandyan kingdom against those warlike European nations.
