A Post-Editing Methodology for Human-aided Machine Translation Based on google translate: With Special Reference to English to Sinhalese translations produced by Google Translate. Accordingly, eight types of errors, namely, concord, orthography, word division, punctuation marks, translation, style, accuracy, and naturalness, were identified in Google Translate output. In the proposed methodology, the post-editor is facilitated in demonstrating their skill of identifying the errors of the machine-translation output and revising them, since evaluating both is essential in pedagogical contexts. By means of a systematic post-editing methodology of this nature, students of translation can be directed to utilize Google Translate for the translation process and use their language and translation skills to conduct the post-editing process, for the purpose of consistently producing an output of presentable quality.
