Congenital infiltrating lipomatosis of the face

Congenital Infiltrating lipomatosis of the face is a rare entity, characterized by diffuse infiltration of local tissues of face by mature non-encapsulated adipose tissue and skeletal hypertrophy resulting unilateral facial deformity. Its etiology is unknown and presents at birth or in early childhood. Infiltrating lipomatosis common in the extremities and the trunk and is rarely affects the face and neck Due to infiltrating nature, complete surgical excision is impossible. Herein we report a case of Congenital Infiltrating lipomatosis of the face in a 28 year old male patient. He presented with recurrent right side facial swelling since six years of age and had undergone surgical excisions several occasions. Diagnosis was confirmed by typical imaging findings.
