
Electrical conduction in triarylmethane halides and thiocyanates

The temperature variation of the conductivity of triarylmethane halides and thiocyanates are studied. It is found that in halides the thermal activation energies of charge carriers increase in the sequence I > Br > CI. Thiocynates show a conductivity transition at - 126°C.
