Abstract

Following an initial period of recuperation, coronavirus infection (COVID-19) can cause persistent symptoms, sequelae, and other health issues that linger for a long time. Therefore, the goal of this study was to conduct a web-based survey that examined the physical and mental health complications following the COVID-19 recovery in the West Bengal population. This survey was carried out on an online platform utilizing a Google form from the 15th of May 2022 to the 21st June 2022, with 433 participants. The results of the logistic regression analyses were shown as crude odd ratios (COR) and adjusted odd ratios (AOR), along with confidence intervals of 95 percent (95% CI). All the analyses were done with version 20 of the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The p value of 0.05, was considered as the accepted standard for statistical significanceused for the whole investigation. The vast majority of those who participated in the survey reported having either long-term or short-term health concerns following or immediately after the recovery period. Women in West Bengal are far more likely than males to suffer from a variety of post-COVID health issues, such as changes in sleep and food habits, depression, and headaches. People over the age of fifty have reported the greatest amount of physical difficulty in their recovery from COVID-19 compared to people of any other age group. The results of this investigation could significantly influence future studies on post-COVID health discomfort in India and globally. It might have the obliged capacity to act as a foundational research resource for the issue in West Bengal.
