Variations in the Density of Small-Ions Caused by the Accumulation of Emanation Exhaled from the Soil
By: Harald Norinder and Reinhards Siksna
Abstract
Observations indicate that the density of ions increases during meteorologically undisturbed summer nights. This typical increase is discussed and it is suggested that the probable cause is to be found in the accumulation of emanation exhaled from the ground. The accumulation occurs in weather situations which weaken or suppress convection.
