On the spring maximum of the concentration of trace constituents in atmospheric precipitation

Abstract
The annual march of the concentration of different chemical components in atmospheric precipitation collected in different parts of Europe is presented. These annual marches show a characteristic spring maximum. On the basis of this finding the role of stratospheric ozone in the removal of tropospheric trace constituents is postulated.
