Abstract

Samples of rain water collected at Delhi during the period 1964–67 have been analysed for nitrate, ammonium and sulphate. The data obtained have been sub-divided and examined according to the nature of rainfall, its intensity and total seasonal rain. Smaller proportions of nitrate to ammonium and nitrate to sulphate delineated the situations of higher rainfall. Some remarks have been offered in an attempt to explain the observed feature.
