Some observations on the orographic cloud of the island of Hawaii and on trade wind cumuli nearby

Abstract
The results are described of some observations made from an aircraft of temperature and humidity (a) in the layer between the sea surface and the bases of trade wind cumuli to the windward of the Island of Hawaii, and (b) above and below the inversion surface from one side of the island to the other. From the latter observations some conclusion is reached regarding an upper limit to downwards mixing through the inversion.
