Abstract
A radio sounding apparatus designed by the author (1954) for measuring the size distribution of raindrops aloft was improved for use in Hawaii. The results showed that it was a satisfactory apparatus, although insufficient data were taken during the field experiments to draw any conclusions about the nature of the rain process involved.
