Abstract

In The Netherlands concentrations of strontium 90 in rain during 1959, 1962 and 1963 originating from Soviet nuclear tests in the fall of 1958, 1961 and 1962, respectively, were approximately proportional to that part of the fission yield which corresponds to debris introduced into the lower stratosphere.
