Forecasting Thunderstorms and Showers by the Slice Method

The author gives a further development of the slice method proposed by J. Bjerknes in 1938. The formulae obtained use data from aerological soundings to compute the vertical thickness of convective clouds, their optimum amount, and the velocity of vertical development. The paper deals with the way of forecasting thunderstorms and showers based on the slice method.
