Abstract

Information security is one of the critical challenges for organizations and individuals. For that, they try to obtain an encryption algorithm that provides enhanced protection, in addition to offering multiple security features. Common encryption algorithms often offer only encryption functionality directly, while some modes are used to ensure additional features such as authentication and integrity. However, these modes are also vulnerable to various attacks and have several limitations. Therefore, in this paper, we present a new model that enhances AES performance by introducing new features such as authentication and integrity, and by resisting common issues like bit flipping. The proposed model’s performance was evaluated on a textual dataset and then compared with several robust algorithms, including AES, DES, XDES, and Triple DES. The results show that the proposed model’s performance was very good and nearly equivalent to these algorithms, while adding the aforementioned features directly, without relying on any modes.
