Abstract
This study assessed fish farmers’ access to information and perceptions on climate change in Kumbotso Local Government Area, Nigeria, using purposive sampling and descriptive statistics. Most respondents were young men (84%) under 35, with tertiary studies (40%). While 62.5% were aware of climate change, only 41.7% had strong knowledge of adaptation strategies, and 29.1% were aware of policies. Key challenges included temperature changes (62.5%) and water scarcity (66.7%). Adaptation measures like species diversification (77.1%) and climate-resilient feeds (62.5%) were common, though sustainable practices were underutilized (18.8%). Improved accessibility to information and resources are needed.
