Small Perturbations on Means and Lateral Means

Abstract

We begin by investigating how small changes in the definition of ordinary means affect their properties, particularly the property of being a mean. In this direction, we look for weakenings of the basic defining property of means. Consequently, we introduce weaker notions in two directions. We study these functions and provide many examples.
