Abstract

In August 2019 the plant pathogenic fungal species Phaeomycocentrospora cantuariensis was detected on living leaves of hemp (Cannabis sativa) in Upper Austria. This is the first report of this fungal species on Cannabis sativa for Austria and Europe as well as the second record on Cannabis sativa worldwide. In the following year 2020, leaf spots caused by Phaeomycocentrospora cantuariensis were also diagnosed on hemp in Burgenland, Lower Austria and Styria.
